Tumeric Rice (Rice Cooker Version)
I love Tumeric as Burmese. Burmese put Tumeric in everything from medicine to every meal-prep in cooking. So, I love Tumeric rice which smells and tastes so good. Tumeric has many health benefits for us too. This is my go-to way of making Tumeric Rice. If you don’t have rice cooker and like to cook rice in pot. Please see this recipe also.
If you fall in love with Tumeric rice and always want to cook it in easier and quick way, make this Garlic Oil and keep it staple at home. You can just add this with rice, salt and water to create as another quick-fix way.
|5 cups of Jasmine Rice I just estimate one plastic cup of rice for one serving.|
|3 tablespoons of Groundnut Oil or Coconut Oil You can use any other cooking oil too. But taste richer and smells better would flavor the rice more when steaming.|
|1 teaspoon of Salt|
|1 teaspoon of Tumeric powder|
|2 sticks of Cinnamon|
|4 pieces of Star Anise|
|4 cloves of Garlic|
|A little bit of Cumin seeds|
|A little bit of Culantro|
|2 tablespoons of crushed Brown Sugar slab|
